You Like It Darker by Stephen KingMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Most anthologies have some good ones some bad ones and some that are just there. I'm happy to report that You Like It Darker is mostly good ones with a couple of really great ones. Though it's not as dark as Stephen King would lead you to believe (You like it dark, good. So do I) it does delve into true horror at times while also delivering the excellent characterization, sense of place and good pacing. My favorites were Danny Coghlin's Bad Dream, The Dreamers, Red Screen and the moving, yet unsettling The Answer Man.
One of the better Stephen King anthologies and proof that not only has he not lost his touch one bit but that he's improved his craft to the level where he can experiment with story and character structure in very inventive ways.
