Comic book review - Batman, Vol. 1: Failsafe

Batman, Vol. 1: FailsafeBatman, Vol. 1: Failsafe by Chip Zdarsky
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It's known how Batman has a contingency plan for every member of the Justice League in case they go rogue, but what about Batman himself? What happens if he crosses the line, who'll stop him? The obvious answer is Superman, but Batman goes one step further by creating an Amazo-like android to take him down, but his creation takes things a bit too far.
The story is more than a bit out there, even bringing in an element from Batman's golden age comics, but you just have to roll with it and enjoy. The artwork is top-notch throughout with some very interesting compositions that really fit the psychologically skewed elements of the tale. A pretty good start to this new chapter of bat-history.
